Step 1
Download the desired in-house announcement to your computer. Then using Microsoft Word 2003, open the document. When opened you should see words along with graphics similar to the screenshot above. If graphics do not appear, then go to Step 2.
Step 2
You may need to change the "View" in order to see the graphics. Do this: On the menu on top, choose "View" and select the "Print Layout". Different versions of Word may have this option placed elsewhere.
Step 3
Let's insert a logo. Choose the two lines and choose from the top menu: Insert: Picture: From File. Then find a suitable logo on your computer's hard drive. After importing your logo, resize logo as necessary. (Note: Ideally, you will be using a good quality logo. Shrinking a logo is ok, but enlarging tends to make logos fuzzy.)
Step 4
With the logo now in place, customize your message and set the date, time and location.
Step 5
Once you are completed, save the file. If you choose to print out your new announcement, choose Print from the "File" menu on top.Step 6
For those looking to email your new announcement, simply create a new email and attach your saved announcement file. If people have Microsoft Word, they will be able to open and read the attachment. If you aren't sure if everyone has Microsoft Word, printing out the announcement is your best option.
